seminar: Farey map and geodesic flow on modular ray in positive characteristic
speaker: Dong Han Kim (Dongguk University)abstract: Berthe, Nakada and Natsui had defined Farey map on the field of the formal Laurent series and computed the algorithmic speed. In this talk, we give another definition of the Farey maps with geometrical interpretations which give all the median (intermediate) convergents. (This is joint work with Seonhee Lim, Hitoshi Nakada and Rie Natsui.)
