Quantum entanglement in physical and information sciences

Research Directions

Since the early days of quantum mechanics, understanding the phenomenon of entanglement has been central to the understanding of the foundations of quantum theory. Besides its fundamental interest, great deal of attention has been brought forth by its role in quantum information. Entanglement is believed to be the main ingredient of quantum speed-up in quantum information protocols. The focus of this workshop will be on the most recent results on entanglement in multipartite system and their impact on the understanding of quantum information processing and of quantum properties of many body systems.
