Classical and quantum gravity in 3 dimensions

Aims

The workshop will bring together physicists and mathematicians active in different lines of research related to three-dimensional classical and quantum gravity. Key topics will include: (quantum) hyperbolic geometry, ending invariants, (quantum) Teichmuller theory, Liouville theory, Lorentzian geometry, state sum models, classical limit ("Volume Conjectures").

Based on experience of the workshop: Edimburgh 03 (http:/www.ma.hw.ac.uk~berndworkshop.html) and Potsdam 04 (http:/www.aei-potsdam.mpg.deeventshyperbolic) the number of speakers should be limited to about 25, with the length of each talk being about 60 min.
