Optimal transport: theory and applications

14 November 2006 - 18 November 2006

This event is part of an intensive research period:
Calculus of Variations and Partial Differential Equations.

Aims

The theory of optimal transportation is a very active research field, with applications ranging from the theory of nonlinear PDE's of diffusion type, even in infinite dimensions, to non-smooth analysis and geometry, functional inequalities and calculus of variations. In this meeting some of the main experts in this field, as well as younger researchers, will present the most recent research developments.
