A review of computational gestalt
speaker: Jean-Michel Morel (Ecole Normale Supérieure de Cachan)abstract: This conference will introduce to the Helmholtz principle. This principle can be stated as "no perception in white noise". Using it one can define a wide variety of percepts as large deviations from white noise. I'll comment many experiments and based on them try to outline a research programme in image analysis.
