seminar: Stochastic model of a quantum fluid and generation of vortex lines
speaker: Laura Maria Morato (Dipartimento di Informatica, Universita' di Verona)abstract: Ito' stochastic calculus to the 3\2 order in the framwork of stochastic variational principles with the classical action lead to a dissipative generalizatione of Madelung fluid equations. Dissipation is caused by a vorticity field, which can concentrate in the zeroes of the density. An open problem concerning the formation of vortex lattices in quantum fluids will be discussed.
