speaker: José Ignacio Latorre (Universitat de Barcelona)abstract: Two results are presented. First, an explicit MPS construction of the Laughlin wavefunction is shown to saturate the entropy of half of the system. Second, the translational invariant algorithm by Vidal is shown to produce results on the maximum possible entanglement for the ground state of two-body hamiltonians.
