seminar: Electron transport in 1D nanostructures in the presence of two entangled scattering centers

abstract: (F. Ciccarello, G. M. Palma, M. Zarcone) We investigate single-electron transport in quasi 1D nanostructures- such as a linear wire and a mesoscopic ring- with two embedded spin 12-scattering centers. We show that electron transmission is significantly affected by entanglement between the two quantum impurities. A number of interesting phenomena - such as entanglement-controlled transport, perfect transparency, entanglement-induced electron coherence - are exhibited.
