speaker: Eli Upfal (Brown University)abstract: Balanced Allocations is a simple yet powerful paradigm for dynamic resource allocation. We will analyze the basic static process and two dynamic variants: the "supermarket" model, using a differential equations modeling, and "balanced allocation routing" through ergodic stability results.
