Consensus-based protocols for clock synchronization in networked systems

abstract: We will explore the problem of synchronizing a network of clocks using consensus-based protocols. We will start by modeling clocks dynamics and communication schemes, and then we show how to apply the classic consensus algorithm for clock synchronization. In particular we propose a non-linear algorithm based on the cascade of two consensus algorithm which can compesate for both different clock speeds and initial conditions.
