Solid State Quantum Information

Quantum control of the flux qubit coupled to microwave photon system

speaker: Kouichi Semba (NTT Basic Research Laboratories, NTT Corporation)

abstract: If we could achieve full control of the entangled states of a quantum bit (qubit) interacting with a single photon in a single-mode resonator, then we could obtain a coherently coupled multi-qubit state, which is indispensable for quantum computation. In this talk, I will mention some of our recent results1-5, especially the time-domain control of the entanglement of a superconducting flux qubit with a few microwave photon system5.
