Some aspects of harmonic analysis on vector spaces over finite fields
speaker: Anthony Carbery (University of Edinburgh)abstract: We examine some of the phenomena that have been of interest in euclidean harmonic analysis over the last 30 years or so in the context of vector spaces over finite fields. A primary source will be the paper of Mockenhoupt and Tao, to appear, Duke Math J., concerning restriction and Kakeya phenomena, but other topics will also be addressed.
