Ricci flow on open 3-manifolds
speaker: Sylvain Maillot (Universite' Louis Pasteur and CNRS, Strasbourg)abstract: I will review some known facts about the topology of non-compact 3-manifolds and present some results obtained with G. Besson and L. Bessières on the behaviour of Ricci flow on these manifolds. The main result has an application to positive scalar curvature.
