Rational approximations to the logarithm and its square

abstract: I present a survey of a recent new construction of rational approximations to the (square of the) logarithm of rational numbers using families of double complex integrals. This construction yields the best known upper bounds of the irrationality and the non-quadraticity measures of the logarithm of some rational numbers.
