Some random complexes and associated spaces
speaker: Daniel C. Cohen (Louisiana State University)abstract: The theory of random graphs has been an integral branch of discrete mathematics for about 50 years. The study of random simplicial complexes of higher dimension is a much more recent development.
We discuss some results on random complexes, focusing mainly on low dimensional cases, and then pursue some implications for spaces associated to random complexes.
