Optimal Location of Industries
speaker: Eugene Stepanov (St. Petersburg University)abstract: The model of optimal location of a certain given number of points representing facilities of not necessarily positive social utility will be provided. A sample situation is location of polluting industries, the social utility of which is positive for other industries, but negative for the population. An asymptotic analysis of the solutions to the respective location problem will be discussed.
