Some Minimal Integral Currents in Geometry: the Calibrated Ones

speaker: Costante Bellettini (Princeton University / Institute for Advanced Study)

abstract: Some minimal integral currents in geometry: the calibrated ones. Abstract: Calibrated integral currents are a particular class of mass-minimizers. In addition to providing interesting concrete examples of solutions to the Plateu's problem, they naturally appear when dealing with several geometric questions. We will overview some of these and see the optimal regularity result for the so-called 3D Special Lagrangian cones.
