abstract: The first of these two talks describes the geometry of Carnot groups and Carnot-Caratheodory manifolds, and establishes that 1-quasiconformal maps beween domains in Carnot groups are regular. The second discusses the analogous problem for Carnot-Caratheodory manifolds, and relates this problem to the theorem of Fefferman on biholomorphic maps of pseudoconvex domains.
