Submanifolds of the Heisenberg group

abstract: In this talk we provide a sketch of some recent joint results with R. Serapioni and F. Serra Cassano, concerning an intrinsic definition of submanifolds of the Heisenberg group, as well as characterization of the intrinsic Hausdorff measure concentrated on these submanifolds. It turns out that the notion of submanifold deeply changes passing from "low dimension" to "low codimension".
