abstract: I will discuss some recent results about nonlinear PDEs with a dispersion term modulated by a time–inhomogeneous irregular signal. In particular we will concentrate in the study of the regularizing effect of the modulated dispersion for the local or global well-posedness problem. I will consider the modulated 1d periodic or non-periodic versions of the Korteweg–de Vries (KdV) equation, of the modified KdV equation, of the non-linear Schrödinger equation (NLS) and of the derivative NLS.
