Blow-up for PDEs with additive noise

abstract: The main theme of the talk is the effect of additive noise on the development of singularities. Some simple finite dimensional examples show that several phenomena may happen. We expect that interesting infinite dimensional systems present a not-so-pathological behaviour. Thus the addition of noise to a non-random dynamics with blow-up should give explosion with probability one. We provide some conditions that make this claim true and we apply the criterion to a non-trivial infinite dimensional system.
