Gevrey class regularity for a strongly damped wave equation with hyperbolic dynamic boundary conditions

abstract: We examine a wave equation on a bounded domain in Euclidean space with strong internal damping, coupled with a wave equation on the boundary domain. We will show that the system generates a strongly continuous semigroup of contractions which, absent any strong damping on the boundary, is of Gevrey class regularity. This is stronger than differentiability, but weaker than analyticity of the semigroup.
