abstract: We will formulate a generalization of the classical Worpitzky identity in terms of partition of coweight lattice points and generalized Eulerian polynomial introduced by Lam and Postnikov. This can be applied to express characteristic polynomials of the Linial arrangements. Then we will discuss a conjecture by Postnikov and Stanley on the location of zeros of the characteristic polynomials. This talk is based on arXiv:1501.04955.
