seminar: From quasiconformal foldings to entire functions
speaker: Sébastien Godillon (Universitat de Barcelona)abstract: Christopher Bishop recently provided a method to construct transcendental entire functions with good control of the singular values. In particular, that allowed him to produce interesting and innovative examples in transcendental dynamics. I shall introduce this method, discuss what kind of applications can be expected, and say few words about the proof by quasiconformal foldings.
