Measure rigidity for diagonalisable flows
speaker: Manfred Einsiedler (ETH Zuerich)abstract: We will outline two arguments that have been used for rigidity theorems concerning measures invariant under a higher rank diagonalisable action and with positive entropy. In both arguments the interaction between a diagonalisable element and a unipotent flow are crucial. This is joint work with Elon Lindenstrauss.
