abstract: Alexander I. Bufetov (CNRS I2M Steklov IITP NRU-HSE) The talk is based on joint work with Boris Solomyak (arXiv: 1501.05150). The main result gives first quantitative estimates on the spectrum of translation flows. More precisely, in genus 2 (stratum H(2)), the Hoelder property is established for the spectral measures of Lipschitz functions. The proof proceeds via uniform estimates of twisted Birkhoff integrals in the symbolic framework of random Markov compacta and arguments of Diophantine nature in the spirit of Salem, Erdoes and Kahane.
