course: New families of Kaehler-Einstein manifolds
speaker: Claudio Arezzo (ICTP, Trieste)abstract: In this Week 4 seminar I shall speak on joint work with Ghigi and Pirola. I will discuss an existence theorem for Kaehler-Einstein metrics in the presence of symmetries, which gives complete families of algebraic Fano manifolds and orbifolds admitting Kaehler-Einstein metrics. The method is to exploit symmetries of the manifold in order to prove Tian's analytic stability.
