On the gradient flow for elastic curves and networks
speaker: Chun-Chi Lin (National Taiwan Normal University and NCTS)abstract: In this talk, I would like to discuss the evolution equation of (planar) curves/networks with certain boundary conditions at endjunction points. The boundary conditions are motivated from various problems in mathematical models or applications. These conditions are also crucial in deriving various integral estimates. The main goal is to obtain long-time existence of classical solutions of the evolution, and the asymptotic behavior. If time is allowed, I would discuss other related geometric flows on elastic curvesnetworks as well.
