course: The Ricci flow and geometrization of 3-manifolds

abstract: We shall explain how the Ricci flow could be used to achieve Thurston's geometrization program for 3-manifolds. This includes the exciting recent work of G. Perelman, an elaboration on older results by R. Hamilton and many others.
