Unsteady free fall of a rigid body in a second gradient fluid
speaker: Marco Degiovanni (Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore)abstract: We study the free fall of a rigid body in a second gradient fluid. The fact that the fluid is second gradient guarantees a stronger regularizing effect which allows to prove existence and uniqueness in the same functional class for the associated initial value problem.
