Bases with two expansions

abstract: We report on a joint work with D. Kong on answering several questions of N. Sidorov on the set B₂ of bases in which there exist numbers with exactly two expansions on the alphabet {0,1}. In particular, we prove that B₂ is closed, and it contains both infinitely many isolated and accumulation points in (1, q'), where q'=1.787... is the Komornik-Loreti constant.
