abstract: In this talk, I will discuss Hoff solutions for compressible Navier-Stokes equations. This concerns intermediate regularity compared to global weak solutions à la Leray and strong solutions à la Matsumura-Nishida. I will explain the ideas initially developped by D. Hoff and then show how to extend the method without assuming an $L\infty$ bound on the initial density playing with the transport equation in a appropriate way. It allows to cover important situations assuming to be close to equilibrium initially. This is a recent joint work with C. Burtea (IMJ Paris, France).
