Margulis Lemma and RCD spaces

abstract: The Margulis Lemma partially describes the topology of small balls in Riemannian manifolds. The simplest version was obtained for hyperbolic manifolds, and since then many generalizations have been produced. I will give a brief review of these generalizations, including recent work on RCD spaces (joint with Qin Deng, Jaime Santos, and Xinrui Zhao).
