Piecewise Contracting systems(CONTRIBUTED TALK)
speaker: Sakshi Jain (Monash University)abstract: We study piecewise contracting systems on a compact \(d\)-dimensional space, and prove the equivalence of having a periodic attractor and having the set of discontinuities and the attractor mutually disjoint. We prove the genericity of periodic attractor in the collection of piecewise injective contractions. Additionally, we prove that piecewise injective contractions with periodic attractor are topologically stable.
