abstract: Classical Kleinian theory aims at studying discrete subgroups of PSL(2,C), which can also be interpreted as fundamental groups of hyperbolic three manifolds, typically of infinite volume. After reviewing some aspects of the beautiful theory, I will discuss joint work with Farre and Viaggi in which we discuss classes of subgroups of PSL(d,C) that have similar features.
