Optimal transport methods in metric Sobolev theory
speaker: Enrico Pasqualetto (University of Jyväskylä)abstract: The aim of this talk is to present some new results on the theory of metric Sobolev spaces, focussing on different notions of derivations and on their connections with other approaches to the Sobolev calculus. The list of topics I will present includes, among others, several equivalence results, the relation between derivations and plans of curves, characterisations of the reflexivity of metric Sobolev spaces and the study of a rather general notion of p-Laplacian. The essential role of Optimal Transport and Convex Analysis techniques in establishing the above-mentioned results will be highlighted.
