seminar: Constant mean curvature foliations of flat spacetimes

abstract: I will discuss results on existence and asymptotic behavior of foliations of flat spacetimes by hypersurfaces of constant mean curvature. Using these foliations to fix gauge, the normalized area of the slices can be identified as the Hamiltonian of gravity. Some of its properties will be indicated.
