seminar: Statistical mechanics and trasmission on trees
speaker: Alberto Gandolfi (Dipartimento di Matematica U. Dini - Universita' di Firenze)abstract: We review some results about phase transitions and extremality of phases in Ising model and spin glasses on trees and discuss their relation with transmission models. Then we introduce some mechanisms, which can be interpreted as correcting the transmission or renormalizing the trees, and discuss the asymptotic behaviour of the critical points.
