seminar: Stochastic Dynamics near a Bifurcation - Amplitude Equations

abstract: We present rigorous results on the approximation of SPDEs via amplitude equations near a change of stability. For simplicity, the main results are presented for the Swift-Hohenberg equation only. Applications are given, which provide qualitative properties for invariant measures and random attractors, and results for pattern formation below threshold of stability.
