The School, this year in its second edition, is an interdisciplinary venue intended to foster the interaction of people coming from the too often separated communities of mathematical and social scientists. Each year the focus is on one specific topic. The topic is typically selected among those that, albeit widespread in use, are not properly covered in graduate programmes. Lectures are mainly addressed to PhD students, but young post-graduate researchers and senior undergraduate students can also be considered as possible candidates. The school is partially supported by the PhD programme in Economics of Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna.
Participation is subject to selection. Only 20-25 positions are available. Financial support for board and accommodation will be provided (see Financial Support)

Decision on the application will be communicated: 9 August 2013.
According to selection, 26 participants are entitled to receive support.
