This event is part of an intensive research period:
Perspectives in Lie Theory.
This one-day workshop will focus on those aspects of Lie theory that share a common flavor of non-commutative geometry, which is often quasi-commutative, i.e. rather close to the usual geometrical domain of classical Lie theories. The main themes will be Lie superalgebras and supergroups, quantum groups, and Hopf algebraic methods (in a broad sense) underlying a Lie-theoretic approach to noncommutative geometry. On the other hand, combinatorial and representation theoretical methods will also be considered. The workshop is meant to be a meeting opportunity for people - from the Ph. D. level upwards - working in Lie theory, but not necessarily specialized in the above mentioned subjects.
