An Interdisciplinary Workshop on Mathematical Methods in Biomedical Imaging and Intensity-Modulated Radiation Therapy (IMRT)

seminar: An inverse source problem in elliptic equation from boundary measurements and application to the inverse EEG problem

speaker: Abdellatif El Badia (Univertsity of Technology of Compiegne)

abstract: In this talk, we consider an inverse source for an elliptic equation for which the source is a combiantion of monopolar and dipolar souces. Our problem is, first investigate identifiability question, then to study the stability issue and finally to establich an identification method to estimate the number, the locations and the moments of sources from boundary data.

On of the possible applications, but not the only one, of our study, could be the localization of the generators of electromagnetic fields in the head. The so-called inverse Electro-Encephalo-Graphy (EEG) problem.
