The Centro De Giorgi this year received 56 applications.

Applicants were from 16 countries: 25 from Italy, 6 from France, 4 from United Kingdom, 4 from Romania, 3 from China, 3 from Germany, 2 from Spain. Moreover 1 application was received from each of the following countries: Algeria, Czech Republic, Giordania, Mexico, Portugal, Senegal, Switzerland, Ukraine, USA.

Among the applicants 22 were below 30, 28 between 30 and 33 and 6 above 33.

Three applicants have been awarded:

the 2007 Lizzanello Junior Visiting Position has been awarded to Giovanni De Matteis, University of Strathclyde - Glasgow;

the 2007 CariLucca Visiting Position has been awarded to Aaron Levin, Brown University;

the Emma e Giovanni Sansone Junior Visiting Position has been awarded to Andrew Lorent, MPI for Mathematics, Leipzig.
