CRM this year received 94 applications. Applications came from 18 Universities or Institutes: Belgium: 1 Canada: 2 China: 1 Denmark: 1 Finland: 2 France: 16 (5 from Paris, 1 from IHES, 1 from ENS) Germany: 11 (2 from Humboldt, 2 from Munich, 2 from Max Planck Inst.) Among the applicants, 36 were below 30 years old, 43 were between 30 and 33 years old and 15 were above 33.

Four applicants have been awarded:

the CRM Junior Visiting Position has been awarded to LUCA DE SANCTIS - Università di Bologna.

the 2008 Lizzanello Junior Visiting Position has been awarded to LAURA SPINOLO - Northwestern University.

the 2008 CariLucca Visiting Position has been awarded to OKSANA YAKIMOVA - Indipendent University of Moscow.

the Emma e Giovanni Sansone Junior Visiting Position has been awarded to ANTOINE LEMENANT - Paris 11.
