Stability of Selfsimilr Solutions of the Binormal Flow: the Case of Logarithmic Spirals
speaker: Luis Vega Gonzalez (Universidad Pais Vasco, BCAM)abstract: We shall present some recent work on the stability of selfsimilar solutions of the binormal flow that develop singularities in the shape of either a corner or a logarithmic spiral. This binormal flow appeared for the first time as an approximation of the evolution of vortex filaments in 3d.
