The Center can offer a help to those who have been supported.

The town of Pisa
You can retrieve much of the information you may need at the official website of the Town of Pisa (www.comune.pisa.it).
You may also want to have a look at some maps of Pisa: map 1, map 2, with varying zoom capabilities, to obtain an idea of the layout of the city. To locate a specific address you can consult Google Maps, or Michelin, sites which also allow for zooming.

Pisa is quite small: for reference note that to go on foot from the railway station to the Leaning Tower it takes around 25-30 minutes.

Trains:
To check train timetables you may use the official website of Trenitalia.

Bus:
The Centro De Giorgi can be reached from Pisa Airport (also known as Pisa-Florence Airport "Galileo Galilei") and from the railway station using city buses. From the railway station take the LAM VERDE (green LAM) bus (DIRECTION PRATALE/PAPARELLI). It will head toward the Arno River and cross the river at the Solferino bridge. It then goes to the right along the river. Get off at the second stop after the bridge and locate Via Curtatone e Montanara, across the street and a few meters ahead. Take this street north, away from the river. This leads directly to the Piazza dei Cavalieri where the Centro De Giorgi is located. The Centro is about 300 meters from the river. From the airport, take the LAM ROSSA (red LAM) bus and switch to the LAM VERDE bus at the railway station (DIRECTION PRATALE/PAPARELLI), continuing as above. You can also take a taxi; the trip from the airport to the Centro costs about EUR 10-15.

Lodging
If you are looking for an accommodation you can find what you need on the websites www.comune.pisa.it/turismo and pisaonline. Almost all hotels are within walking distance of the piazza dei Cavalieri, which is the baricenter of all the activities of the Center. If you wish you can also have a look at the section Lodging, containing a list of hotels with negotiated prices.
