Existence of Solutions in Shape Optimization Problems
speaker: Dorin Bucur (Université de Savoie, LAMA Chambéry)abstract: We introduce the general formulation of a shape optimization problem and discuss different issues concerning the existence of a solution. Various examples will be given, from isoperimetric inequalities to shape functionals involving the solution of a PDE or the spectrum of an elliptic operator.
