A gradient flow approach to chemical master equations
speaker: Jan Maas (IST Austria)abstract: Chemical reaction networks are often modelled stochastically as continuous time Markov chains. In this talk we present a gradient flow approach to the associated chemical master equation. In particular, we discuss convergence of the gradient flow structure in the thermodynamic limit, and analyse geodesic convexity properties of the relative entropy functional. This is joint work with Alexander Mielke.
