Ergodicity of an Infinite Interval Exchange

abstract: Cutting and stacking procedures produce in many situations interval exchange transformations, often with infinitely many intervals. I shall describe one such transformation of interest, which belongs to the so-called adic method, and explain a proof for the ergodicity of this transformation; we don't know much more about it, but surmise that it could be mixing.
