Going towards infinity in the moduli space of local systems
speaker: Carlos Simpson (CNRS Nice)abstract: We will discuss what can be said about the structure near infinity of the moduli spaces of connections, Higgs bundles, and representations. In particular we will discuss recent work joint with Katzarkov, Noll and Pandit in which we relate the spectral networks of Gaiotto-Moore-Neitzke to limiting harmonic maps to buildings of Kleiner-Leeb-Parreau.
